Valerie Leavengood Thomas died at Carbon County Memorial Hospital on April 13, 1996 after a long illness. She was 37.
She was born in Independence, Kansas on August 3, 1958. She attended school through high school. She also was the delegate for the American Legion as a Girl’s Stater for Saratoga. She attended college at Duke University, Rocky Mountain College & the University of Wyoming and a computer school in Colorado Springs.
She lived in Florida for about one and half years where she modeled for Lane Bryant.
Later, when her health began to fail, she returned to Saratoga where she remained until her death.
She was united in marriage to Martin Thomas on August 27, 2989, in Saratoga. She is survived by her husband Martin Thomas and a daughter Kaylee Thomas.
