I'll always remember Randy's humor and wit, along with his sound logic and judgement. My senior year Kelly Hoem and I did a road trip to Arizona to visit Randy, Kim Wood, and James Elliot. Randy helped make it one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken. Lost touch after high school except for an April fool joke in 1979 via phone involving Randy and his cousin Bob Payne while they were in Arizona (actually the joke was on Bob, but Randy was with Bob and got caught caught up with it). I don't recall exactly the last words Randy spoke to me that day, but it included !#*%##*!! as he laughed while out of breath.
